Carved out of the greater Colorado River, witness Zion's spectacular color filled landscape dripping with cliffs and canyons. Here you can find the worlds largest arch, the Kolob Arch spanning 310 feet! Zion is also home to our precious wildlife including golden eagles, mountain lions and mule deer. Originally proclaimed Mukuntuweap National Monument July 31, 1909, incorporated in Zion National Monument March 18, 1918 and established as Zion National Park November 19, 1919.
